Humbled by Words
Hey all -
We have had such an amazing summer. Traveling to every corner of the country and meeting the most incredible people along the way is the best part of this job.
Being on the road so much isn’t always easy, and is often the exact opposite of glamorous, but we know we’ve been called to this kind of life for a purpose. We know God has placed us where we are to reach this...

Weathering the storm
These past few weeks a storm has been ravaging almost half of the country. The South, the East and the Mid-west have been hammered nonstop by Ice and snow and blizzard like conditions and we have been smack-dab in the middle of it since it started. Being North-westerners we don’t get to experience storms of this magnitude very often and we found ourselves confronted by something that took us...

PrayYouThrough.com is LIVE!
In response to the countless emails we’ve received from fans all over the world, we have launched www.PrayYouThrough.com as a way for you to post YOUR stories of how prayer has impacted your life, or the life of someone you know. People ask us all the time to share the story behind our song “Pray You Through”, and truth is, it’s not our story. It YOUR story. The story goes...

Do Work
Today I worked 7-4, went home and made a sandwich, then watched t.v., and now I’m blogging; And I feel like God was a part of it all.
As a band we’ve been doing a devotional called “My Utmost for His Highest.” In almost every devotion it mentions “Oneness with God.” A lot of times in my life I tend to make God one of those things that’s just nice to have...

A New Season
Hey all!
Josiah here, and I’m excited to announce some amazing new things on the horizon for Sixteen Cities this year. After an incredible June tour, and an awesome album release this last Spring, we’re looking forward to the rest of this year.
We’re spending the rest of this summer at bible camps and festivals, as well as preparing for our big fall tour with REMEDY DRIVE!...
Loose Ends.
Mark 9
30 They left that place and passed through Galilee. Jesus did not want anyone to know where they were, 31 because he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill him, and after three days he will rise.” 32 But they did not understand what he meant and were afraid to ask him about it.
Jesus had a...

For what do you strive?
Its amazing how things can happen so fast but yet, somehow, take a life time to learn the lessons they present.
Its like time is racing ahead of us and all we can try and do is catch up and pretend that this is the normal pace that life should be. That things always move this fast, that the ideas that keep us grounded are always moving with such velocity and force. Its as if we were never meant...
When We Forget
The band has been touring the country for the last few weeks visiting churches, camps, radio stations, bookstores, and even rodeos. We’ve covered nearly 4,000 miles and spent over 70 hours in the van. To say it’s been an adventure would be an understatement.
Our crazy schedule has made us receive minimal amounts of sleep, and it’s easy to get side-tracked and exhausted.
It always...
Interview!
Interviewer: So let’s start from the beginning; How long have you been with the band, and how did you get hooked up with the band? Chad: Well I’ve been with the guys since October, so just about 9 months. And actually how I got hooked up with them is a pretty cool story. In April of 2009, I was invited to play at a church in Portland by a friend who was leading worship that weekend....
A few jokes.
Two atoms are walking down the street together. The first atom turns and says, “Hey, you just stole an electron from me!” “Are you sure?” asks the second atom. To which the first atom replies, “Yeah, I’m positive!”

10 Things To Do Before You Leave Home
So we’ve got a couple days before we head out on the road for a month! I was curious as to what normal people do before they leave on a trip! Here’s a list I found on the 10 things you should do before you leave home, followed by the band version…

In Awe
This weekend was such an amazing experience! I had the opportunity and the pleasure of spending time with some amazing people and do some seriously epic adventures.
It was on one of these adventures where we were all camped out on top of this look out. And from such a vantage we were able to view the entire city down below.. and up above, A full moon and starlit sky, full of wonder and...

Greatness
“Greatness lives on the edge of destruction.” - Will Smith
I had the day off yesterday and ended up watching Oprah because Will Smith was on the show. He talked about his career and how he ended up getting where he was. His thoughts on becoming great really struck me.
There’s something so powerful about being willing to take a risk to reach your dreams. And something even...
In His arms
So much of the time, people like myself, tend to be selfish with their plans and ideas about life. Whether you are pursuing a career or entertaining a relationship with someone else, it seems that more often than not, we place ourselves and our “agendas” above those with whom we are in a relationship with.
One of the most important things we can do as a person in Christ is lift one...
Our Stories
Hey all -
Josiah here, writing to you from the terminal of the Sacramento airport. It’s one of those beautiful California mornings, where it’s 70 degrees at 7:00AM. The crowds are already rushing around the concourse trying to get to their flights on time, and I’m shamelessly “people-watching”. It’s crazy that everyone you see has their own story, their own...
Check out this video of Sixteen Cities visiting a radio station on the Oregon coast (Lighthouse Radio).
New song!
I’ve been into Radiohead a LOT lately. Just the other day I was visiting some radio stations with Josiah and Josh, and during the van ride I wrote a guitar riff that sounded a lot like the song “15 Step” by Radiohead. I’m currently working on charting it out and recording it. My goal was to have it done by today… But now my new goal is to have it done by the end of...
That was an acoustic cover of “Animal” by Neon Trees.
I was trying to record it all last night, but I failed at that.
Hope you enjoy. Free download link:

When you're only "txt friends"
I read this article on a website and found it to be interesting. Let me know what you think!
THERE’S A SILENT epidemic making the rounds at my college. No one talks about it because, quite literally, it goes unspoken. [viaboston] When I first set foot on campus, I feared every freshman’s pariah nightmare was coming true: Kids who had friend-requested me on Facebook were pretending I didn’t...
